About Brianna
From a young age, I was immersed in the world of music. My mother taught me piano from the age of 3 and made sure I kept at it until I completed Level 10 in the Royal Conservatory of Music. I had an itch to learn more instruments, so I picked up lessons for flute, violin, guitar, and singing. Upon graduating high school, I was awarded the Overall Musicianship Award, a coveted title among all music students.
I attended Trinity Western University to study Worship Arts, a combination of Christian culture, art, and music. Then in my first Digital Recording class in my third year, I discovered the Music & Sound Design stream in the Game Development program - I was sold. I had no idea what I was getting myself into, but I knew I wanted in.
I ambitiously jumped straight into my first team-based project course with nothing but heart, courage, and minimal experience in Cubase. I had something to prove to my family, my professors, and - most importantly - myself. I hit the ground running as the Music & Sound Design Lead and stretched myself in ways I didn’t know possible. I educated myself in things I had never even considered existed before. During this time I was also recruited to compose music for a Telus docuseries surrounding the experience of Asian-Canadian immigrants, expanding my composition experience beyond game development and into the world of post-production television.
Now, I am in my third and final year of the Game Development program with experiences I’d never dreamed of, and a portfolio I am proud to present to you. I’ve gained practical experience and confidence with Unity, FMOD, and Jira, as well as how to work as a team from the first stages of development.
I look forward to the journey ahead of me wherever it takes me, and I would love to connect and work with you on most any kind of project!
